We have done it again! Marray always tries to find the best solution to each and every problem that installers experience. We sat down almost ten years ago and tried to find a reliable, fast, efficient and cost effective (have you seen what our competitors want to charge you?) way to use a door alarm magnetic contact switch in a hinge.
Finally, we hit upon the perfect solution (which is why we patented it!). We used one of the holes in the hinge for our faux screw head contact sleeve. All the installer does is drill out one screw hole on the door, and one on the frame. The switch sleeves are snapped into the hinge, you wire up the contact and you are ready to go.
- Tamper resistant
- Settable gap
- UL 10C Fire Listed for Field Installation
- Unobtrusive
- Fits into any standard weight commercial hinge!
- Doesn't fall out of the header and affect the door closing
- Switch comes Normally Open, but is Normally Closed when installed
If you are looking for a fire listed, reasonably priced and superb way to place an alarm contact on a door, for monitoring, traffic control or reporting, this is the product for you.
The photo for this product shows a hinge. The hinge is optional. The hinge in this photo is only being used to demonstrate how the switch looks in a standard commercial grade hinge. If you need a power transfer hinge, you would want to add one to your cart.
