This patented switch (as can be seen in the photo) slips into the existing machined hole provided on most Schlage mortise lock bodies. The switch has a very long lifetime and the precision engineered switch housing is molded from UL 94 V-O fire resistant plastic. A REX switch can add as much as $100.00 to the cost of an electrified mortise lock body when you get it from a distributor.
